Hello,

As my B50 Cockpit has returned to Breitling for the second time I'm considering switching to a Navitimer.

As a long time lurker I have seen the many posts regarding the reliability of the B01 movement. Driver8, who has been very helpful, pointed out in my other thread the B01 has been improved.

To B01 Navitimer owners how have you found the reliability of the movement? have many of you made it thought the 5 years without requiring warranty work? Are you being stung for extra costs on your first service?

Thank you for your time.

John

I have two b01 navitimers. My black Navi limited went 7 years before I sent it in service, no issues. I have a sliver dial which is now 5 years old no issues, and I sent this one in at the 2 year mark for the service to keep the warranty alive for the full five years.

Personally I love my navitimers, at times I have thought screw it get rid of them, because they don’t get to much wrist time. I couldn’t imagine my collection without them. I will probably add a couple more navitimers b01’s eventually blue sky, and a rose gold version are on my wish list.

Hope my enthusiasm for navitimers translates in you acquiring one even if it’s for a trial period.

Thank you for sharing your experience. I decided to get the B01 and this time I bought from my local independent jeweller (Zelley's). Im very happy with the watch and the service was excellent. I went for the B01 46mm, Black dial, steel with the bracelet but I also bought the Calf strap separately and I have been swapping between them.

On a side note eventually my B50 made its way into the hands of the quartz specialist at Breitling who managed to recreate the issue, change the circuit and now the watch is working flawlessly. Took nearly 6 months in total but its a great watch now.

I would also like to say thanks to Driver8 for his info on my other thread.

Thanks again

Mack
