Saw on my FB feed today a new LE Premier for their "Wheels and Waves" partnership.

Sadly I can't link the pictures at the mo - "device issues!" - but until I (or someone else) can post up some pictures, a quick search on FB will throw up a few images.

It's quite a handsome piece and a no-date to boot, which is great IMO, plus it's nice to see the red inner minute ring make an appearance again. My only concern is that the sunburst dial again looks a little washed out in the real life pics as opposed to the studio images. TBH I think that's my only (minor) gripe with some of the latest pieces - that some of the dial colours aren't as strong as I'd ideally like them to be. For that reason alone, the Panda is still the Premier king to my mind. But it's still a very nice addition to the ranks.

It’s also on Kern’s IG feed. I like it a lot!

who would have thought we'd see new Breitling without date windows ;)
took some convincing.
another watch that needs to be seen irl, dial is mesmerizing, the nod to the signature red inner track introduced on the Chronomat in the early 1940s is really lovely.

If you had a personal hand in that particular piece of diplomacy Fred, then you're to be commended!

I love that one! The premier line and the different variations really are stunning. Like the no date and the red circle. Always loved the red circle on the datora and various other Montbrillant models I have had. Glad to see it's return as a design element.

Now that I've had time to study things a bit...

First off, I really like this Premier. And, as a general matter, I think Breitling has done a very nice job with the introduction of the Premier line, which contains a number of aesthetically pleasing models that are true to the core Breitling vibe.

That being said, the one change I would make to this particular version would be to keep in place the minutes/seconds scale around the outside of the dial, and use the red inner track for purposes of introducing the 100ths scale (as on the original Chronomats). I absolutely love the red inner track as a design element (as I do on my Montbrillant Datora), but cramping it down to size for use as a minutes/seconds scale makes it hard to read (particularly with regard to increments of a second), and renders it essentially useless from a functional standpoint. Using it instead for purposes of a 100ths scale would still provide a nice aesthetic touch, as well as providing a nice nod to the past. :)

I may be in the minority, but I'd have loved to see a black date wheel at 6:00. I know, I just have a thing for having a date on a watch. Other than that, I love the dial overall with the mix of anthracite, gold, and red. I keep looking at the Premier line over and over again and then thinking about how much I wear my Datejust II...

What’s up man!!!! It’s been years. Glad to see you’re still around here; miss the old days with you and shark. The Premier is a really cool watch; I’m glad I was able to grab one.

Yeah it’s been far too long my friend! Glad to see you’re back in the watch game.

Tried to send you an email a while back but not sure if you still use that email address.

Your new PO looks stellar btw. Just saw that other post.

I have always liked the PO but for all the reasons you sold your previous ones, that’s why it has never ended up on my wrist.

At this point I’m trying to chase down a BLRO. I know right.....wishful thinking. If it doesn’t happen then the PO you have would be a serious contender.

Actually think the Hamilton is a little better looking and also a more accurate representation of the original model. Also agree with Moana43 that the outer scale would look better with his suggestions. Looks sort of bare like an original version repop. Still, I think Breitling is on the right track.
