Hello All :)

So the strap on my Navitimer World completely snapped, as pictured below... I would really appreciate some advice/suggestions on a replacement strap.
Leather fits my budget... doesn't have to be OEM. If aftermarket, it would be nice to re-use the Breitling buckle.

I'd go stainless as well, if anyone knows of something reasonably priced please let me know... I can't justify the ~ 1k for OEM steel bracelet.

Thanks!

I would recommend Hirsch Heavy Calf. I prefer it even to original Breitling calf (which is second one I would recommend :)) - it is scratch and water resistant, a little bit thicker but very comfortable and you can transfer the buckle easily. Here it is on my Navitimer Heritage:

I would show this to a dealer. That is a really strange break point. It's a Navi, this deserves a Breitling strap.

While I'm generally a stickler for OEM straps on Breitlings for some reason, I have to say I agree with you on the quality of the Hirsch Heavy Calf strap. A mate of mine bought a blue one recently for his original Chronospace, which I fitted for him. I wasn't expecting much TBH, but I was genuinely amazed by the quality for the price point. Coupled with an OEM Breitling buckle it makes for a very cost effective and quality option.

Nothing could be further from the truth in my opinion. I have several Breitling watches and straps to go with them. As much as i love Breitling straps, all of the straps have that "damm" white stitching! On some watches it is not very noticeable, however on some it stands out like a sore thumb. In addition, although Breitling others a multitude of choices with respect to the color of the strap, there are some colors that are just not available. I am lucky enough to live close enough to custom strap maker who allows you to pick not only the color of your strap but the portion of the hide from where you would like the strap to be made from. When alligator leather is used, the "grain" of the leather makes a huge impact on the appearance of the strap. Here is a picture of my Stratos Navitimer with a custom strap, now close you eyes and imagine it with a Breitling black croc strap with that "wonderful" white stitching! Which would you choose?

I beg to differ, the quality of the strap that I had made is comparable to, if not better than that of Breitling at 60% of the cost of a Breitling Strap (MSRP). If you add in the ability to customize the the thread color, and the color and type of material used for the liner than I think it is a no-brainer. This is coming from a guy who is a big Breitling fan and has a stock of Breitling straps that would rival that of a small AD. Just my .02!!

If you are concerned with cost Hirsch make some very reasonable straps for the money. If you wish to splurge and get something better than oem check out ABP Paris. They make some amazing straps that would elevate your watch for OEM money. Highely recommended.

That strap looks very nice, but I can see it’s not even close to the thickness of breitlings croc straps. I had a gray croc strap made from dangerous 9 straps, beautiful strap for $400 but still IMPO nothing gets close to breitlings crocs or calf straps

I guess that I will take the money that I saved and go out and look for a better "camera", I checked on the overall thickness of the strap and it is almost spot on with the OEM Breitling Strap. I'm sorry that the strap you had made from dangerous 9 left you less than satisfied, however, I think the intention of the OP was to look for alternatives to a OEM Breitling strap and that is the information that I was trying to provide. You obviously like Breitling OEM straps and there is absolutely nothing wrong with that, however, there are numerous alternatives out there that will provide a different appearance for significant different prices!

If you really want a cheap but okay bracelet, you could try this one:
https://www.watchgecko.com/super-engine ... rfly-clasp

I bought it in black. You would never believe this bracelet only cost 28 pounds.

IMHO, the quality of breitling straps is second to none (weird you have such a poor experience!)...

but the cost is bonkers! :(
