Hi all. First time post here.

I am looking to make my first purchase of a Navitimer AB0121 Limited Edition in steel. I am doing some research and my question to those knowledgeable in such things is the following:

The Navitimer AB0121 Limited edition (circa 2010/2011) seems to come in two forms: one with a red font colour used for the date display and another with a black font. Additionally the red date display version has the number of the 2000 limited edition count engraved on the side of the case.

I can’t seem to find definitive answers on what the significance is of the two varying editions. They both seem to be legitimate first limited editions of the Navitimer with the B01 movement.

Can anyone help me out here?

As far as I know, the one that has the red font date is the first Limited edition Navitimer with the in-house movement. There are 2000 of them made but I rarely see them for sale. They seem to Colman’s a good premium over the standard model. They are easy to spot because of the date and the fact that they have a 18k white gold wing logo. All the other reverse panda models after that have the yellow gold logo. I think there is one for sale on one of the other forums. I’m not sure about the other model you are talking about.

Mine has red date on a white wheel, and that’s how that run of 2000 comes as far as I know

It's funny that you mention that they rarely come up for sale, I follow the "watch classified ads" and rarely see one for sale as you said. However, just recently one came up for sale from one of our members, here is a link https://forums.watchuseek.com/f29/fs-br ... 20805.html , no skin in the game but the beautiful photos do an excellent job depicting some of the differences that were noted between the two models!
