can only repeat: please wait until the end of this year w/ your "final" judgement; though the SO does show the respect the "Schneider Icons" are treated with.

the first releases had to be almost instantaneous - the 8 couldn't be as perfect as it should have been, but, w/ minor corrections, the line now has improved a lot, the Curtiss Warhawk shows where they are going, more to come. And they are selling!

The Premier is really well done - and will continue to strengthen the re-positioning of the brand in market segments widely neglected in the past.

Won't talk about the Navitimer 806 Re-Edition, will let others judge that one, but it is the first of some rather lovely watches to be revived.

There's the elephant in the room, of course - what will happen with THE Schneider Icon, the watch that saved Breitling and has been one of the biggest sellers for decades; the Chronomat:
See above, a bit of patience, please; but it receives all the respect and passion it deserves.

we may, of course, fail. mess it up. blow it. trying hard not to.

I am excited to the extent I am afraid I might lose control of my bladder! Looking forward to 2019

Kern confirmed on Insta that there is no blue 42 and only the 48mm will have a no date option.

As previously mentioned, I'm a big fan of the new direction for the Superocean series. I am, however, puzzled by the lack of ceramic bezels in these models. Once that started happening with the SOH series, I thought it might start to become standard for Breitling's dive watches.

I'm slightly puzzled as to why the big SO doesn't have a date complication..... Just to save the aesthetics?

I like the expanding diver strap though

Available in 48, 46, 44, 42 and 36mm - is that all? Damn, I was really hoping for a 40.376mm version!

In all seriousness I think it's fantastic to see multiple sizes being made available. I can't tell you the amount of times I've really liked a watch only to find that it's either been too big or too small for me IRL. I've long wished that a few more companies would adopt this approach of covering a few more bases.

Completely agree. It's such a logical thing to do and very gratifying that these new iterations are doing it.
