You're just teasing us now Fred!

Seriously, I waited almost 9 months to buy my Superocean and now I'm wondering if I should have waited.

In all seriousness, I really am loving this watch. I love how the blue can change based on the light and I'm very surprised at how much I like the mesh bracelet. I am anxious to put it on the blue aero classic rubber strap as well.

I agree, the upward spiral recently from Breitling is refreshing.

I AM really glad Breitling is paying attention to the vintage collector and providing them with remakes of the classics, that definitely solidified and reminds of the brands great heritage in sport and utility watches, but I do hope they keep an eye on the conservative modernist as well. We would like to see modern designs inspired by historic models.

We can all agree the removal of futuristic and/or blingtastic models is a thing to rejoice at.

Altair, bling is dead, but the respect for heritage includes the icons of the Schneider era too, these have saved the company!
Being a relatively new comer to Breitling and the Breitling fourm I must repeat myself and compliment everyone here for their intelligent perspective. Writing to express one's feeling is a tricky business, especially considering topics so dear to one's heart. I enjoy all the posts and the interaction without the bad mouthing, brand trashing felt on other watch fourms.
Speaking strictly from a TV ratings standpoint the Superbowl and Superbowl half time show did not live up to network expectations. Enough so, most comments on the half time shirtless and fur coat wearing entertainers focus was on the Rainbow Rolex Daytona sporting the wrist of Adam Levine. Just goes to show us watch folks that bling is not dead. In the history of mankind bling has never died. One man's bling is another man's nightmare. An example of this could be the current trend of tattoos. At a minimum of $100.00 per hour there are some people with upwards of $3000.00 spent on one arm. I for one like a little bling, not necessarily the rainbow Daytona. A Rolex day/date, a Breitling chronomat 44 GMT 2-tone are my style. A custom made 18K ring with a 8.5 cts. black star sapphire representing my wife surrounded by five 25 point diamonds representing my children. That is my style. Not everybody's style but mine.
I believe George Kern is going to continue to hit it out of the park. Mr. Kern has his own money in the game. Mr. Schneider invested his or a part of his earnings from the sale back into the Breitling new company. Warren Buffett would say this is a management team he would believe in. I'm happy I purchased my Breitling in June 2018.

It’s taking a lot of self control from me to wait until Basel, but now I have to wait until Q4. Don’t know if I can do it. :(

For me, the jury is still very much out on the New Breitling. The Willy Breitling era had its own feel and identity -- and, say what you will about the Schneider era with some of its excesses, so did Schneider's Breitling. The New Breitling seems to still be trying to find its way -- clumsily at times, it seems to me. There is no compelling brand identity that I have yet been able to discern. I am losing patience with Breitling, although I do realize that we are on the cusp of some new releases. So, to be fair, I'll need to revisit things once I see the results from Baselworld. Still, for me, it won't be enough to simply see some new models -- I need to get a feeling that there really is some sort of coherent vision for the brand that is bringing things together as part of a unified identity and direction, and I am not getting that now. In that regard, I'm not interested in drinking social media Kool-Aid -- I need to actually see and feel a difference. As always, I am hoping for the best...
