I'm really pissed off that after just three months of buying a brand new Breitling SuperOcean 44 Special it stopped working. Bought it at Gatwick airport with two year warrantee, but the repair time can take three months or more. Can anyone tell me what is so special about a 3k watch that fails within the first three months of owning it? Its not had any harsh treatment and has been well cared for. I will never buy another one! Total waste of money! :(

Unfortunately it happens.... A watch has so many tiny little parts all working together that problems can occur. It sucks to have to send it in under warranty but that is what the warranty is there for. Generally when I needed warranty work it was expedited and it only ended up being a few weeks. So good luck and hopefully it gets sorted out quickly.

Like Nate said, it happens sometimes. It's why you have a warranty.

Sometimes it's because the piece that you bought had been sitting in the AD untouched for a very long time, and the staff do not wind the watches regularly. As such the lubricants migrate overtime and cause potential issues the moment new owners starts using them.

Well, I just arranged for a replacement to be sent to me, so with luck this one will work. I've sent my faulty one back which will probably be sent back to Breitling. Yeah, it happens, though for such a high quality timepiece I expected more.
