Went on the official Breitling website to check out some of the current Breitling offerings, and noticed that the cool wings logo/emblem is no longer on the traditional Chronomat and Navitimer lines?! All you see now is the boring script B! The watches don’t look as good, and are not as recognizable as authentic Breitlings without the iconic wings. What the heck!? That’s like taking the Crown off the Rolex or the picture of the Apple off an iPhone! I mean, I can understand if you just use the script B on the new line of retro watches, but take the wings off the Chronomat and Navi?! Bad move. Oh, and what’s up with only 2 dial color choices for the Chronomat now, with no classic black dial version?

Guess I’ll have to keep enjoying my old school classic...

Wrong direction:
SO Chrono II
M1- 1 black & 1 yellow
Crosswind Special
M2000
B1
Navitimer
But no more, I'm moving to Rolex.

Why not both?

I do agree, the wings being taken off is a bummer.

Love the ones I have. Not impressed with the new designs.
I think I'm alone in that one of my favorites is the SO Chrono II. Mat rubber bezel, stick dial, only wish it had lume pearl on bezel.

Although a bit vague, in regards to comments about the removal of the "Winged B", Georges Kern has stated "wait and see" and "both will co-exist" on Instagram, possibly meaning that "B" and "Winged B" models will both be offered, at least on the new Navitimer 1 anyway.

Maybe the wings will only be available on the gold models.

I think they said that wings will stay on their sport models, like Avengers.

Yeah, I heard that too, but I was referring to the Navitimer 01 models. Seems they still sell the gold version with the winged logo, but the steel version is just with the B script logo.

According to Kern, they are slowly removing the wings from all models eventually. This was confirmed to me by the Breitling Store in Vegas.

“No brand in the world has different logos. Breitling needs a new-old logo and it is, funnily enough, already on the Superocean Heritage.” Yes, you read that right: the wings will be gone.

I’ve seen on Kern’s Instagram where he says they will still offer ones with the winged logo and that they will “co-exist” (B logo and winged logo). Maybe all the backlash he’s hearing from fans will let the wings stay.

Let's hope... Getting rid of the wings only diminishes the pilot watch lines' aesthetics.

Yea, the “wings” are the best looking of the Breitling logos. They embodied the brands aviation heritage. Kern apparently wants to throw that all away?? Let’s let Breitling be Breitling and not try to emulate other brands as I fear new management is misguided to create a name for themself. The fact that he used Porsche as example is scary as the automotive world is nothing like the automatic watch world.
Breitling has got a distinguished heritage they need to embrace and not try to reinvent themself. Ugh.
Once the brand has lost its identity, it’s as good as done.

Sweet Blackbird! Now that’s what a Breitling should look like! All these heritage model styles are putting me to sleep. So boring!
