I brought a Breitling Superocean in blue on Saturday 2nd June and I was burgled on Tuesday 5th June. Only the shop new about the purchase and the police have done nothing.

Has anyone had a similar incident, vary dubious of where my personal details went when brought in shop in Breitling?

From whom or where did you purchase? I haven't had anything like that happen to me, but help us be aware of this possible scenario please.

That sucks, sounds kinda suspicious to me if they were the only people that knew about your purchase

I brought it from the official Breitling shop on New Bond Street in London, absolutely gutted. I questioned them and they denied it obviously and I asked where my data was kept and they said secure

I gave them my details last weekend and haven’t been burgled. One of my watches is getting some warranty work done. I think it’s extremely unlikely they are passing out customer details.

The more likely scenario is that someone saw you wearing the watch and decided they wanted it, or even more likely, it was a fluke, some burglar just got lucky. No offense but a Superocean is not a super high end watch so doubtful it was an inside job. Hopefully you have insurance that will cover the loss.

Check your home security, they may come back for the replacement. It’s an awful thing to happen and I can well imagine how you’re feeling and hope that the shop didn’t have anything to do with it

Very sorry about your loss. I think the timing of the theft was probably pure coincidence. I can’t imagine a scenario where either of my A.D. s would risk their relationships with customers or Breitling for a very minor amount of money.

These days with all of the cameras around neighborhoods that you don’t see, a burglar has to be a special kind of stupid.
