Go for the bracelet and get the croc strap later.

A lot of people will tell you that the classic look would be to get a black leather strap. Any leather strap is preferred on a deployant as it feels more comfortable and prolongs the life of the strap by multiple factors. The disadvantage is of course that the deployant is very expensive (at least compared to the regular tang buckle).

I personally prefer bracelets in the first place and then like straps to be able to get a little variation in.

If you've decided that you won't alternate, then you should of course go with the look that suits you best. However, if there's any reason to think you want the option to change later, it is economically better to buy the watch with the bracelet, and then add the leather strap. You'll get a better discount on the bracelet if bought together with the watch rather than buying it separately.

Good point about getting the discount on the bracelet on an initial purchase. If you have the cash, get both when you first buy rather than later when you would not get as big a discount (if any).

Looking for a Navitimer myself, leather is my obvious choice. Both price and looks is better with leather.

Thank you for your thoughts and insight, I went to my local AD and put cash down on a Navitimer today, black dial, no numbers on a bracelet.
With hope Santa will bring me a little present for Christmas ( blk leather strap with deployment) I am excited, this will be my first Breitling.
I have two other watches both Rolex submariners. Maybe this will be the start on a few more. I starting to like Breitlings sporty style.

I will post pictures when I bring my navitimer home. Thanks all

Congrats on the Navi, a class watch IMO. I would like to have the Navi World in my collection someday. Take care.
