I just purchased a 10 year old Super Ocean 42mm. I love the watch, well taken care of and previously owned by a collector rather than a wearer.

I got the watch and the Clasp wouldn't hold, too, it to the local AD for Breitling in St. Louis and they found that the expansion clasp had a crack in the hinge against the bracelet. They tried to order a new expansion piece and the clasp I had on my watch is "Discontinued" so I had to get the new (Set on an angle) clasp without the Wet Suit Expander.

The local AD/Jeweler was wonderful to deal with, but it's a shame that the piece I needed couldn't be gotten and I had to purchase an entire new clasp. However I probably won't ever dive with this watch, I've got an older TAG/Heuer that I dive with that's had some abuse over the years.

But, so far, my report on my watch is I love it!!!!

I bought one of these exact same model and in mint/unworn condition for a stupidly low price at auction a few months back. Absolutely love it, and now wear it more than my Seawolf. It also keeps better time than my brand new SW which is just on the cusp of being outside of COSC spec and will go back for a warranty repair just before the 2 years is up (so I get another 12 months out of them).

Sorry to hear of your issues with the clasp. I do like the dive extension and wish I had it on my Aerospace(s) so I can wear over my gro-bag.
