Received a better pic of the case with the serial number. Seems like a 1968 as per serial number?
No service record so no idea when/if it was serviced. So that would be an extra $500 or so I would need to factor in for a service.
I don't want to pay a premium so what's your best guest on estimated value?
We can't give you a serious estimate on a watch like that, without having seen much better pictures of the entire watch.
If it really is NOS (never worn), then it could close to double the value of a "normal" used vintage Navitimer.

http://www.kurt-b.comSure Kurt, I understand. I don't think the shop is going to take better pics, so I will have to go in and do it myself. Only problem is I am about 100 miles away and want to buy the watch when I'm there. Let's assume it has been worn (as I take everything a dealer tells me with a pinch of salt), I was thinking of offering them $4,000 cash. Is this too much for a worn watch with the original box and papers? It will mean with a service I am in for around $4,500.
I spoke with the Breitling Service centre and they confirmed they can service it, but noted that parts availability is a big problem and should it be required in future the watch will have to be sent to Breitling Switzerland.
