Based on my experience with the deployment on my Steeelfish you might want to loosen it. If I have it too tight I get an irritation and a pressure point exactly where you describe. Loosen and let the strap gradually breakin. Just a thought.

I wore it loose to the point the Navitimer was spinning on my wrist! When the band is loose it looks terrible because it bulges out on both sides. If that's how your wearing yours I am afraid it not correct. Leather bands are suppose to contour the wrist somewhat. No matter loose or snug once I leaned on a desk or jacket pressed the clasp on the wrist the pressure and headaches started. The watch band is already broken in as I used leather conditioner to soften it up so that's not the issue. It's the damn clasp design. So far over 30 hours of me wearing it with my modified clasp it's been nothing but pleasure. In fact I don't even want to take it off and wear my other watches. I love how it looks with the Navitimer specifically. The pilot bracelet doesn't bring out the sophisticated look the leather and clasp I am looking for. If you felt this pressure and understand, I just can't imagine how you say it doesn't bother you anymore unless your just settling. I can assure although modifying it does bring value of the clasp down totally and resale value to zero the plan was to make it work because I love the look of it. The inner sleeve actually just holds the leather in place where as my modification removes this sleeve and to keep the leather in place under the clasp I used a very thin heavy duty double sided adhesive strips and some carefully calculated drops of glue to hold the leather tailing in place. Obviously there will no longer be any adjustments to the band but it's custom For my fitment

This is the same fitment I had with the sleeve and now without and it wear 100x different and comfortable compared to same adjustment with sleeve. Night and day feel. If it was loose the side would bulge out and it would look terrible. Wish Breitling can read these forum and improve on the future deployant clasp. This design is beyond terrible and they have the balls to charge so much for it Image

Now the leather band tailing is the contact point on my wrist. Image

I only wore it like that until the leather broke it. I also bent the trailing portion of the deployment to relieve the pressure point on the back of my wrist.

Watchdawg. I tried bending the middle connecting points inward. That didn't help. I tried bending the end pieces so it would sit more flush and that didn't work. I tried to put some liquid rubber on the sleeve and still felt pain and pressure. By then the sleeves were pretty mangled so I used a grinder to grind the entire sleeve off. After that I tried it on and wow it was comfortable. The leather breaking in has no effect on the pressure the sleeves applies on the wrist, so
I am not sure why it was your issue. For a high end clasp the design team at Breitling really needs to revisit this because it's a complete failure. I guess people with a lot of meat on their wrist would not feel this as much but I can guarantee everyone that has the deployant clasp will have marks on their wrist when they take off the watch. I don't have any such marks anymore!

After many hours of wearing the Navitimer with my modified deployment strap it's been nothing but pleasure. The brown leather calf strap has broken in nicely. It's very soft and color is beautiful. The modified clasp has no longer posed any issues. I will in the future purchase a croc strap with clasp and also modify it to work for my application.

That's good news. As I said earlier in this thread, I've personally always found the Breitling deployant to be fantastic straight out the box, but everybody (and everybody's wrists) are all different, so what's good for one won't necessarily be good for another. I'm glad your mods have worked out for you.

I agree but I am posting this for people that find it uncomfortable and don't like it but want the look of it. I am not saying this happens to everyone but the select few which have posted on this thread it's a possible solution for them. Isn't this what forums are all about!

Yes, I know. That's why I was offering you my congratulations that your mods have worked out for you.
