Just noticed the new strap on this one: "Military Rubber" (see photos on Breitling site)

I went to the Breitling Boutique in Paris France, this afternoon, and I tried the Watch (quite slim with its 16,95 mm only).
This double strap is so comfortable that I ordered one for my "old Avenger Skyland Blacksteel" from 2009 (1st Blacksteel LE).
Rubber on the wrist and Military Cordura on the outside and the most important, the pushbutton folding clasp equiped with an extremly precise folding mechanism with a pushbutton-opening system. It also includes a user friendly extension piece that is adjustable in a few seconds.

It looked from the photos like the new strap might have some interesting potential.

Thanks for that report!

I guess I'm indifferent, not really liking it but I don't hate it either. If it weren't DLC then I would be way more interested.

Eating my words here, I have one on the way. I think initially I was trying to tell myself it sucked just so I wouldn't spend the money, but I crumbled. Incoming with another badass blacksteel piece. Coming back to Breitling with a bang!

I like it but given the choice, I'd get the Navitimer Stratos over the Blacksteel Chronomat.

After wearing the Airborne, I'd rather see this bezel on it and maybe then that would change my mind.

Wow....wow...wow.... The real life looks much more impressive and I didn't expect that. I am particularly impressed by that strap.

IMHO The airborne bezel looks great on the airborne itself but will look less impressive and in fact, lose its meaning, if applied on the regular Chronomat or this, due to the intention of the design. Having said that, if given a choice of the Airborne or this, I would still go for the Airborne because I just cannot convince myself to part my money for a DLC....YET.... Even so I am giving this a very high score for its aesthetics. :lingsrock:

Is this strap the same one as the Airborne? And I agree, the square subdials are ok but there's something about their combo with the Buck Rogers bezel that's doesn't work for me...
