Hi there..

Not a bad looking model and nothing mind-blowing visually.

Personally, after owning 2 B50's, I'd want to wait 1-2yrs until initial run issues get ironed out (if any) and then pull the trigger after it proves it's reliability.

Otherwise, I like the blue hands with the blue twin pro strap. Something different. The message/email/call function on the top display is not too bad either.

Connectivity aside, the model still looks like the B50 dial with '10' sorted topped off with an aerospace evo bezel! :poke:

I hope new/first buyers can throw some light on the watch after receiving theirs..

I actually really like the look of this watch. It may go on my list after I hear some user feedback.

I went to the grand debut of the B55 at the Boutique in Manhattan last night and could not wait to get out of there. My first impression was awful and it went quickly downhill. The Boutique is small and Breitling decided that what every Breitling fan needs is a group of 6' tall barely clad rejects from a Robert Palmer video [channel your inner 80's for a moment] posing all over the place. That contingent was supplemented with heavily accented hipster waiters standing equally aloof with bad champagne. Not a watch person in sight and most of the display cases closed for the night. I have absolutely no idea what they were thinking, given that the invite only event started at 6:00 and the 'unveiling' was not to happen until 7:30. The vast majority of people walking around, and there were not that many, seemed to be Breitling sales staff speaking only with each other....truly preposterous!

Of a piece with their unimaginative and hideously unreconstructed advertising, for example a tv ad currently screening in the UK which has been excoriated on UK forums. It's embarrassing.

I was also at the Unveiling and I didn't think it was that terrible. I got o speak with Mr Schneider, Jean Paul, and another Executive from Breitling. Also I had a very long conversation with a North American sales manager, a consultant and marketing guy for them, a few gentleman from AOPA, and I took a photo and spoke with Mr Kelly. You're right about the women though, but I enjoyed the cocktail hour before the Launch.

I also spoke with the Manager that overlooked all the technology that went into the B50, and B55. He let me try on his Exospace as well.
