Does anyone know anything about the Colt Quartz Land Rover limited edition watch, model is A57035 and as per picture below. Strap I'm not sure of to be honest, I think it is original but I can't quite make out what it's made of.

I know the watch originated from the Middle East, but I'd like to find out a little more, i.e. how many were produced, under what circumstances were they sold e.tc.

I bought it from Israel via Ebay, for just over £400 no box or papers which I think was reasonable given it's rarity. Especially as there's one which appears unboxed with no paperwork on Germany Ebay for 2,000EUR!!

Also, does anyone know of a good source for a stainless steel bracelet to go with it, size is 18/16mm, and if anyone has a spare instruction manual that would be handy too!

Thanks in advance.

Stef

For a bracelet.. look for an old Colt Fighter bracelet.. that will fit it. Not sure about rarity and all that, but i have talked a bit about the special editions in my blog.

Hi Stef,

this is a typical old limited edition. They were produced for local markets only, often, there where only 100 to 500 pieces. Variants from the middle east often come to europ by UN soldiers.

I have stumbled about a couple of them already [I had about]:

Mölders (app. 400 pcs) Chronomat, Germany [3]
JG 26 or 27? (app. 400 pcs) Navitimer, Germany [1]
Legion Etrangere (300-400pcs) Colt Superocean, France [5]
100 years of French Aeroclub (100pcs) Navitimer Montbrillant 18kt, France [1]
100 years of French Aeroclub (1000pcs) Aerospace, France [10]
100 years of helicopter (?pcs) Aerospace Avantage with Copilot, France KFOR (100pcs) Colt Superocean, Austria/Kosovo [20]
Draken (100pcs) Navitimer, Austria [8]
Austrian Airforce (10pcs!!!) Emergency, Austria (I have one of those) [2!]
Austrian Airforce (200pcs) Aerospace, Austria [12]
100 years Austrian Aeroclub (100pcs) Aerospace, Austria [10]

Of all these models, except the helicopter, of which I should get 1 piece, I had at least one piece in my store. I tried not to mention watches, that where shown in the chronologs.

Most of them (except the Austrian Aeroclub) where sold very quickly, normaly within a month maximum...

Hi, I am from Austria and do have a rare Breitling Navitimer Draken - I changed the bracelet for steel. What would you say this rare watch is worth now? I think about selling... :-)
