So, given he's stated some issues, possibly not all of them. ( if you can see more elaborate) is it actually a fake/franken?
Is it even vaguely worth it if you weren't an all out '100% genuine' collector.
After all, it looks a tidy enough watch for the average wearer.

Thoughts please...... And I know this is potentially contentious  , but it's a good 'lesson'for those less educated and informed.

Look at this on eBay ( edited with thanks to Fred)

posting a link would help: http://www.ebay.com/itm/VTGE-BREITLING- ... SwsFpWTfUy

what bull description.

hands incorrect (chrono sweep), crown wrong, case polished to hell and previously replated, serial no. missing or polished off, sliderule a non-OEM replacement, the "golden" subdials are probably nicotine (or "patina"), movement did not start life in this watch (1967 or later non-WOG), just the most obvious points.
sad piece.

Whoops Apologies for no link Fred, finger trouble.. Will sort it.

Thanks for the thoughts, it still amazes me someone goes to such lengths to create such an obviously (for some people, thanks Fred, Rene, Kurt et al) incorrect piece.

Now you've pointed it all out I can see the issues, but,
What makes you say Sliderule is Non OEM replacement? Replacement I can see but why Non OEM?
I thought Breitling often replaced things like this with often different styles at service but I hadn't thought to consider it was non OEM.....
