I suppose it's beside the point, but I wear a Garmin while working out - resin and nylon pose no problems with my skin chemistry, and my colon doesn't clench with fear I'll damage the thing. I save my good watches for general wearing. They stay nicer that way.

Just out of curiosity I've discovered a while back that Patek Philippe also uses 316L - like almost all the others. For me: enough said. (Never had an issue with my 316L steel watch cases...)
