And now OHPF (off-forum) - thanks to BS for hosting...
ONE-OFF REDUCTION - NOW £999!Gentlemen,
Up for grabs is a Breitling Colt Chronograph II, the SuperQuartz A73387, dating originally from late 2013. Note that this is the 300m Rated Model, which ran from 2011 until it was discontinued last year - the current incarnation (the A73388) is very similar, but only rated at 200m.
This watch was worn fairly sparingly by the previous owner, and it's been in the safe since I got it in September last year - condition is excellent.
It's the Breitling 'Stratus Silver' Dial, which is a beauty - the colour varies from a brilliant White to a warm Ivory, depending on how the light catches it, with a layered combination of matt and starburst finishes, and contrasting Charcoal Grey Sub-registers. The lume on the hands and markers is exceptional. The watch comes on a lightly used Breitling Leather strap (435X), Black with Ivory contrast stitching, and a Satin-Brushed Tang Buckle (new, raised style logo).
It's a big beast with a 44mm Steel Case (didn't Colts used to be small?) - with a Satin-Brushed finish to upper surfaces and bezel, and a Mirror-Polish finish to the sides and caseback.
It runs on the Breitling Calibre 73 SuperQuartz, COSC Certified (thermocompensated ETA Thermoline 251-232 ebauche), with accuracy to within 10 Seconds Per Year. It's the same SQ movement as used on the Chrono Avenger M1, the Seawolf Chrono and Blacksteel, the Emergency Mission and the SuperOcean Chrono M2000.
Features include a Quickset Date (and Hour-Hand only adjustment), 1/10th Second 12 Hours Chronograph with Dual Central Hands, Flyback, Unidirectional Rotating Bezel, Tachymetre Chapter Ring, EOL Battery Life indicator.
Detailed Specs and additonal info can be found here:
http://www.breitlingsource.com/watch_de ... t_253.htmlIncluded is a brand new full Box set: It's the 'Rivet' style 2 Piece Outer Box; Inner Leather Case; Yellow Document Wallet. Slight mark on lid (from storage - set is new and unused). However, I do not have the COSC Certificate or the Warranty, which were misplaced by the previous owner. He informed me that the watch was purchased new in the second half of 2013 (I had an earlier serial number for one of these that was dated June 2013 on its warranty, which tends to bear this out). I do have a PDF File with the Breitling 73 User Manual which I will include for the buyer.
I normally do a full 'condition report' if selling a used watch - in this case it's easier to mention anything that's not mint:
Up close, I can see a couple of very minor marks on the brushed-steel bezel, but no significant scratches or dinks. There are some inevitable tiny micro-scratches on the high-polish case sides, but again, nothing deep or obvious. The caseback is similar, negligible micro-scratches only. The satin-polished finish on the lugs is excellent, no marks.
The strap is lightly used, and has some 'curve', light discolouration to the lining, light signs of use to the second smallest hole on the underside. Light creasing as you'd expect, but no rips or tears, and the Ivory contrast stitching is clear and bright. .The satin-brushed tang buckle is excellent, tiny marks at worst.
I'm being fairly critical - the marks described are the sort that you'd pick up within a few days of normal wear, and there is certainly nothing remotely deep or nasty.
And that's it for any negatives - it is in really super condition.
The Dial, Hands, Sapphire Crystal (with Anti-Reflective Coating on both sides), pushers, Screwdown Crown are all in perfect, as-new condition. Timekeeping is scarily accurate (I've had this since September, and not adjusted it except for date changes, and it's lost around four seconds in that time).
Measurements: Width (without Crown): 44mm (with Crown 47.9mm). Thickness: 13.45mm. Lug-to-lug: 53mm. Lug Width 22mm. Weight (on strap) 116 grams.
Your friendly Breitling Authorised Dealer will cheerfully relieve you of £2,520 for the latest model of one of these (the last of the A73387's retailed at £2490 on the leather strap).
Mine is less than two years old, and is in super order, but I've got an Airwolf incoming, so let's get this sold - I'm asking an extremely reasonable £1099
NOW REDUCED TO £999. The price includes Next Day Special Delivery for Forum members. If you're overseas, Tracked/Insured shipping will be at cost (drop me a PM if you want a specific quote for your region).
I reckon that's an extremely good deal for someone out there, so the price is firm. I'd prefer a straight sale, as I'm trying to thin the herd a bit, but I'm happy to listen to trade offers - Breitling/Omega being my main weaknesses...
I've loads of Feedback on here, I'm a 'Top Rated' e-bay seller (3200+ deals, 100%, username 'goonermike'), and I've got plenty of Feedback on TZ-UK (username 'BigBird'), so there are no worries there.
I'd prefer a Bank Transfer for payment. PayPal if absolutely necessary, or for overseas, but I cannot accept PayPal Gifts (my account just won't accept them, and I get charged even on gifts). So if you want to use PayPal, it'll be via the 'official' route, and you'll need to add 3% to cover Fees.
If I've missed anything, you'd like more info or pics, please feel free to PM me.
Cheers!
Mike
