I have a Transocean Chronograph (which I need to bring in to be repaired, unfortunately), and a Blacksteel Blackbird (which I think is absolutely amazingly gorgeous. The Transocean Chrono is as well but for some reason this BS BB just draws me in every time I look at it).

I've been wearing my Blacksteel Blackbird and it weighs quite a bit. Every time I go to work out I take it off, and I feel naked. The weight of the watch not resting on my wrist is so massive! I feel naked without it. What about you all?

I have felt the same way for some time now, but it's not just Breitling. I have to have a watch on now or I just dont feel right, incomplete if you will.

I drove 20 miles towards a friends last week and turned back because I had forgotten to put my watch on! However that was partly because I'd left it in full view on the kitchen window ledge.

I have a few watches for different occasions and mix them up a bit in order to get variety. My beloved has noticed recently the number of times I am around the house without a watch on at all! That's usually because I am asking her the time. .

I think I would feel naked without one on my wrist if I ventured out of the house but even I am surprised on the period of time in a day when there is no watch on me to be found. Oh dear!

I think the reason I said Breitling myself is because all my other watches weighed a third or so of what the Breitling did, and I just didn't have the same level of pride in the watch as I do with these. I'm glad to be part of the Breitling club :)

I'm always wearing a watch when going out or moving around the house (but not during the sleep).

I came to some conclusions:
- I tend to wear them because I don't like for an automatic to run down and to have to adjust it (I don't have a winder)
- I can keep up to three automatics alive all the time that way
- I feel almost obliged to "keep them alive" just as if they are my pets :D

I tried to live with a Moonwatch, as it is a manual winding watch and came to following conclusions:
- winding a watch is not a joy for me. Boring.
- manual winding watch is "dead" on my hand, it doesn't have that gyro effect as 7750 for instance, so I forgot I'm wearing it at all. No surprise when moving my hand during the lively communication with people :D
- manual winding watch doesn't cooperate with me in keeping itself alive. It just sits there and waits for me to wind it. Dummy. So, it couldn't reach the "pet status" :D

I know what you're thinking. A nutcase

Take me to the hospital.

Straight into intensive care.
This is serious.
You are showing signs of recovery from WISdom.
No good.
I love winding my watches. I find it extremely therapeutic, a bit like watching fish in the aquarium ;-)

I absolutely understand you. While back when I had my SA, the weight of it compared to other watches made me at times uncertain if I had a watch on (when wearing something else) so I found myself standing by the watchbox ready to put on another watch, just to realize I had on already on my arm...

I don't understand why people take their watches off at all, if on rubber or a bracelet. Croc or leather ok, obviously you don't want those wet or sweat stained, but workout, sleep, shower, whatever, mine are on my wrist. I may need to know what time it is, so I wear them.
