Hi,

This may seem like a silly question, but if you buy a used watch from an AD the remaining time on the warranty automatically transfers, correct? And is it good practice to send it in within the five year warranty preemptively, even if nothing is wrong?

Also, anyone have any thoughts about this watch?
i'm seriously considering it for purchase.

Warranty transfers with the watch. Servicing is dictated by the watch's performance but given that 5-7 years is the interval dictated by the breakdown of the oil I word try and find a low power reserve and / or a variance from COSC prior to the expiry of the 5 year warranty.

The five year warranty apparently applies to watches with inhouse movement that have been sold on or after Jan 1 2012. So if that fish has been sold earlier it would have come with a two year warranty only, hence no more warranty.

If you purchase from an AD they will also offer a warranty.
