Do you guys actually use the swag? I don't see the point in collecting it for the sake of it just sitting there.

I never use it! I'm actually a little embarrassed to wear a hat with breitling (or any other watch brand) emblazoned across it. Seems a bit ostentatious?

I wore the cap to an airshow once, but never had the inclination to wear it anywhere else.

I feel like a target for theives....

Since I only have a hat thus far, I wear it here and there. Wear it on the golf course, at auto auctions and other car events. I'm a hat guy as my mellon is lacking in hair and living in AZ I need to keep it protected from the sun. LOL, I wear the hat even when wearing a Casio. Heck, the hat emblem is my avatar. HA!

Agree completely. I wear hats (proper hats) and caps but would never wear a logo on my head.

I wore the tie once as that is fairly subtle, and I do like quality ties (although Hermes aren't my favourite), but that made me feel uncomfortable as well.

I have some pens and have no aversion to those but simply don't use a pen much these days.

When I see the prices for some of these items it blows my mind, it's an area of this hobby that I simply cannot relate to - all of my stuff has come from gifts and the only one that I know for certain where it is is the Pilots Station Pitts Special model.

I've either sold or given most all the items away. A couple hats were given to the buyers of pieces that I sold on the forums. The only item I've kept and used is the Breitling/Constellation embroidered duffle bag, great size for traveling.

That said, I can see why people would collect the items also, but the prices for these things have been a little crazy.

The only things I personally like are the pens. They're nice enough quality (better than a biro, but certainly not Mont Blancs), and I do like the look of them, especially the older ones with the marble effect barrels. But I've never paid for one.

I also own a couple of hats (again they were free) but I've never worn them.....and pretty sure I never will as I'm not really a hat person.

The only other bit of swag I have is a Breitling fleece - it's plain black with just the word "Breitling" on the breast - and I often wear that for sitting around in the house. I wouldn't go out in it.

I think a lot of people just the like "added value" feeling of getting a free gift once in a while.

I have worked in Aviation for the last thirty years. I have been surounded by Breitling off and on my entire career. The watches, the air team, the swag.. adverts at airshows and so on. I'm a fan..

Let me say, when I get a gift I can use on high end purchases it's nice.. they actually think about what they hand out. Nothing worse than usleless swag.. For instance, BMW just sent us a lithograph of the original design of our car...Um.. not a useable item, just wall dust collector worth nothing.. bad marketing department.

I just had a flashback to Those pink breitling boxers! Can you imagine, that would be a real passion killer if she (or he) was more er, "motivated" by Rolex or Panerai.

Instruments for professionals, anyone?

Hehe

Funny you should say that about BMW - about 15 years ago now I bought a 7 Series and when I picked it up the salesman said, "We normally put a big bunch of flowers in the car, but I thought a nice umbrella would be of more use to you", and that's what they'd put in the car for me. A brilliant carbon fibre shafted golf umbrella. 15 years later and the car has long gone, but that umbrella is still going strong despite being sorely tested by the great British weather! To this day it's the only umbrella I've ever owned, and thus far it's been the only one I've ever needed. Best bit of swag I've ever had!

Kinda wish swag equaled the amount of time I have been waiting. The first watch took 3 weeks to get. This one has taken 4 weeks and I have two more to wait at least.:(

The Hermes Tie is beautiful - that's one swag I'd use day in and day out.

I don't have any swag at all since I haven't bought from an AD. I bought my Breitling from a watch maker.

Think BUSA would send something if I ask? Hah!

Each to his own isn't it? Some people don't see the point in owning an expensive watch.

I gave my hat to a friend. I have two new Breitling watches on order, so I'll be interested to see what else comes my way.
