I am now the proud owner. It's fantastic. Pictures to follow when I can get home.

A huge thanks to Anya at The Breitling Boutique in London!

Al

Could you please comment on the functions etc?

Hi, apologies for the delay.

Here's the first and last pic - Switzerland have just recalled my watch...

I'll keep you posted.

I don't have any more details at the moment. The watch is now on its way back to Switzerland, and they've said I will receive the replacement by the end of the month.

I took one last pic with my phone before it went back. Excuse the quality but I thought my Navi World would give you an idea of the size. It is a substantial watch, but no more than my Chronospace, BR01-94 etc. The finish is stunning, its very comfortable, and it is of course super light.

I promise to post some decent pics once the new watch arrives from Switzerland.

Thanks for the pics.

I've been phoning around several different ADs over the past few weeks to ask about the Cockpit B50. The Breitling Boutique in Bond Street told me it wouldn't be available until mid or end of September. It was originally announced it would be released at the 2014 Reno Air Races, which starts in a few days.

Another AD with very good links to Breitling HQ told me something came up in the development of the watch and the release would be delayed. They had placed orders back in Baselworld this year and several customers had already paid for the watches up front, but they couldn't give any more details.

So that's what I've heard. I hope you get your watch replacement soon!

Thanks Willows.

Let's see how Switzerland respond. Fingers crossed...

What a disappointment that must be. To have it in your hands and then have it taken away. Hope Breitling are paying for the two way shipping!

I think I would so totally disheartened by the experience. Very sad. Hope they get it sorted for you real soon.

HI,

Congrats and comiserations.

I've also ordered and paid for one. I've been waiting for my B50 night mission since May and I was told I'm due one of the first batch into the UK. My AD keeps telling me its delayed and they were speculating there was a tech issue but didn't know what. Any ideas?

I also made enquiries in the spring and the ad has set the UK release date back a couple of times aswell.

Al, did you notice anything wrong with it before the recall?
