Mr. Shaine's Stainless 63 809 on ebay.
What do you think of condition?
No movement shot. Can't really see the case condition, but there are some nicks on the lugs.
Dial looks pretty good. Re-polish on the case back?
I am considering, but would like the expert opinions.
Thanks in advance.

I would say this is a better offering from Bill but I am sad to say that it has one MAJOR flaw. Totally wrong case back. Gold Breilting case backs are inscribed Stainless Steel Back were as the stainless case watches have this case back which read Stainless Steel. He states the back is not perfect, no in fact it it completely wrong!!!!

Thanks Wayne, but I am a little confused. This watch is a stainless steel watch, so isn't the correct back? Regarding the finish, the bevel portion looks refinished, but it is hard to tell with the lighting.

Wayne ,

Bill has 2 listed, 1 63, 1 GP66

I think youre looking at the GP ?

The 63 looks correct ?

To avoid guesswork, I assume that we are talking about this one - http://www.ebay.com/itm/SUPER-RARE-1963 ... 3a940b62b5

Got ya Rene, totally missed the '63. The '66 is wrong, my mistake.

'63 is good and have to admit a better offering from Bill I am happy to see. Dial is not the best but I would not kick it to the curb either. Price, I'd wait for it to go to auction. Too high in IMHO. Sure he will post movement image or just ask, he will provide one.

Not sure I agree with the price too high? (62 panda with wide bezel was offered for 12K usd not too long ago ?)

These 809's with beaded bezels are rare, and although there's 2 now on ebay, years can go by without finding a single one
Id be happy with that dial as well , its a lot better than somee i have seen

Anyway, not a bad watch at all

I got ya Rene on the price. I have just been having sticker shock of late with what some pieces have been going for. I would not be surprised in the least if this one goes at or close to his asking price.

The '66 I am hoping people will factor in the fact the case back is incorrect. Would not be surprised at ALL if it goes to a Kurt type who would likely have a correct back or contact to locate one.

Thanks Guys for your quick comments.
I think the case is a little scratched up and the pusher caps look beat, but otherwise it looks good to my untrained eye. I imagine the right people can revive the metal finishes and the caps can be replaced.
I am surprised how light the numerals are. I asked for a movement shot. I am going to try to go see it.

Thanks again.

Be careful what you do to/with the case , it may destroy value when done incorrect (and most cant do it correct without proper lapping equipment)

The lume is OK and not unheard of

Here's one from 62 with good lume

Thanks Rene. I appreciate your insight and concern.
If I get it, I would only send it to Heist or Chronodeco. :lingsrock:

Wayne,

Just want to put one thing straigh here, if I'm the one you refer to when saying " Kurt type who would likely have a correct back or contact to locate one".
I don't mess around with watches the way you refer to.

Kurt, just as reference I used your name as being a large collector and expert RESTORER of Navi/Cossie pieces. We all are/should be aware of your reputation as a well written and respected person of extreme high quality pieces. No disrespect to you whatsoever. Your website is a fixture on my home screen for fast reference and I always give out to new in the hobby as THE guide to have.

I have picked on a certain unnamed large collector and refurbisher whom I did not want to think I was singling out.

Best,
Wayne
