I wanted to wind up my watch (crosswind '97), but all of a sudden my date is springing to the next day at 3AM. First it did it at 6AM, but after winding around it is now doing it at 3AM. Is there some kind of trick to sync it again with 12AM?

No way to adjust it on a mechanical watch, and slightly unusual that it changed. When was the watch last serviced?

Did you adjust the date with quick set between 10PM and 2AM?

That or moving the hands backwards inside that interval, most probably did the damage.
It needs service.

The inconsistent timing of the change certainly suggest a bent tooth on the date change wheel, which would be caused by changing the date in the 'danger zone', especially given the fairly recent service.

Hmpf, did it 18 months ago for 1200USD. If it needs service again, then i think the service of last time did not it's job :(

Servicing is no guarantee against user error!

I understand that of course, but i checked my booklet and no where in the manual stands i cannot change the date between 10pm and 2am. So how can this be recognized as a user error :(

It should be written in the manual.

Trust me, it is in the manual. Took a pic but size is too big to post. It says clearly not to change the date between 8 pm and 3 am!
