I called my local AD today and asked if they had a pro II titanium bracelet for my emergency. They didn't. But they would order one, price: DKK 6000 = USD 1150... Is that normal retail where you come from?

They retail for $900 in the US.

I paid $800 USD for 1 link of this watch! Gave it to my sister for her 40th b-day this weekend...

It does retail in the US for $900, however, in the Caribbean the duty free pricing is $765.00. I see you are in Denmark. Unfortunately the company I work for does not ship to Europe. We pay shipping for our cutomers and it's not very cost effective to ship to Europe. A lot of the time what we do is if you have a friend in the US, we ship to them and they ship to you. We have a lot of Canadian and British customers that use that option. If you would like any help let me know!

You are a generous chap, indeed, txturbo. I don't suppose you'd consider adopting a gregarious
60-year-old man, would you? I assure you, I wouldn't demand a gold Breitling for my birthday (January 1, by
the way). Steel would be fine.

Seriously, it's a beautiful watch, and your sister's one lucky lady. :)
