I've got a question for anyone with a TT bracelet - how do the gold links wear where the clasp rubs against the bracelet? I'm talking about the micro-adjustment side as that is where the bracelet runs underneath the clasp and rubs against it. Does this steel-clasp/rolled-gold-link "interface" cause any wear on the gold parts?

May not be the best person to comment as my TT is only a few months old, but I haven't seen any wear at all there.

Hi, Driver. Not at all on the polished top side of any gold segment. The rough brushed bottom of the segments become a little dirty and worn from rubbing on the fold of the clasp which is actually away from the"covers" but it is easily cleaned. You can still see where the fold rubs against the segment after cleaning but the "rolled" gold is so thick it would take centuries of wear to get through allowing steel to show. Actually, it takes years of daily wearing for the "rub marks" on the underside to even begin to show up, just like on the bottome side of the SS bracelets. I have had 3 of the two tone Pilot bracelets, daughter has one and sis has one. Because I rotate watches, the "wear marks" (if you could even call them that...) on mine are neglible. Sis and daughter wear their B's 24/7 practically and the "wear" is truly a non-issue on their bracelets as well. Hope this helps... :)
Cheers,
Ron

It certainly does help Ron! Many thanks!

The reason I asked is that I'm pretty sure my next watch is going to be a Montbrillant Legende and as I've mentioned before, I'd really like to get one with gold hour markers to match the hands. So far (and despite Roff's best efforts to assist - many thanks Roff), I'm not finding Breitling particularly receptive to making a "special" order for me of an SS Legende with the black dial from the TT model. Even though the only difference is the colour of the hour markers, Breitling aren't playing ball, citing that it'd be a different model. :?

Soooooo, that means I might have to look at a full TT version instead - hence my question on wear near the clasp as that is the only area I can think of that specific wear might occur. Obviously I alternate all my watches too, so it certainly won't be subjected to any undue wear.

Thanks again for the info.

Although mine is only 1 month old, I have no visible wear or anything on my gold areas on my TT bracelet.

Let me knwo if I can help with anything else.

Jesse

Good thread...
I plan to go two-tone eventually; not sure if I will make this move in my next purchase or later down the road.
