I recently had a fantastic experience with them. My SOSF was two yrs out of warranty and the crown wouldn't screw in. They replaced the crown free as a good will gesture.

My experience last year with TOC chrono hand regulation. Issue was minor so not sure if this helps. Service was good and took about 3 weeks.

Warning - I'm going to have a little bit of a whinge here....ok maybe a big whinge!

So I picked up the transocean GMT after it had been in for a dial change. The dial was defective and printed incorrectly.

They did it in pretty good time - it was ready about 5 days after I dropped it off. They also regulated it too. So I have a quick look at it in the reception area and all appears to be ok, although the lighting in the reception area is quite poor.

I get home, and have a closer look at it under better light. Lo and behold there are marks on the outside of both upper lugs! One of them looks like it was done with something sharp, the one on the other side looks like the case was knocked against something. Bear in mind that the watch is only 10 weeks old and had been worn a handful of times on formal occasions and was in absolutely mint condition. Luckily this watch has a sapphire back so they were unable to scratch it!

What on earth are they doing back there!? This is the second watch I've recently had serviced which has been returned with scratches and scuffs on the case. I'm going to call them first thing tomorrow morning and perhaps have a few words with the service manager.

The service centre is a one hour flight away from where I live. Luckily I get sent there once or twice a month for work but the novelty of going to the service centre and the time spent getting there is quickly beginning to wear off!

Wow ok, that's very disappointing.

Did you have any other problems apart from the over polishing?

Well, if the work is shabby on the outside, I hate to think what it is like on the inside :-(

2 years ago my wife bought me the Navitimer 1461 as a wedding present. In the first 3 weeks it kept stopping. I took it into my AD and they sent it off...6 weeks later I got the watch and they treated my watch like absolute SH!T... finger prints, scuffs, bent/creased the leather strand in the middle.. THIS WATCH WAS NEW....but we have no choice here is AUS, they are the only service center and and they are atrocious...

I have a watch at GP now to fix the dat wheel and this experience has made me very paranoid that this will also come back with scuffs....

I'm thinking I might now take the watches overseas when they're due for a full servicing.

At the time, they had polished the serial numbers completely off 2 of my 3 'Lings (remember, this was the watches first service, so the serial # was very much intact beforehand).
So, rather than have them stuff up my third watch (Datora) I opted to get them to send it to Switzerland, it needed a new crystal anyway & they were already communicating with them to have 2 new case backs made.

I don't know if this is normally an available option, but sending it to the other side of the world, took a couple of weeks less for a service & came back in perfect condition.

I wonder if anyone can verify whether Breitling Switzerland would accept direct customer servicing enquiries from outside their own country?
(Can't really imagine that they would under normal circumstances as they would be expected to support the agent network).
