I received a reply , that is at least a good sign :-)

====================
Dear Rene,

Thank you for your email.
Could you please introduce yourself a bit more please ?

This book has been released with all watches that I had the opportunity to see during my life as collector and as expert. Don't take it as a exhaustive "bible" but a book to help people to discover the brand.
Breitling approved the book before released.

You are most welcome to give me your feedback and share your comments in order to modify elements if necessary. it will be my pleasure to speak with you.
The book will be translated soon in different languages. Let's talk before

I ask a friend to help me writting this email as my english is not very good !

Kind regards

JC Guyon
=================

and this "Breitling approved the book before released." is probably the reason why there's fakes in the book, they dont know and dont know whom to ask !! (or care enough)

Well, theres a thing.

Take one person who has a book on Breitling (in circulation, albeit with errors) and add 5 or 6 Breitling experts from this forum, (who know the errors) and what do you have?

A recipe for a better book without the enormous input required to start from scratch. Sounds to me like JC Guyon might be happy to converse with your guys as far as his email to Dracha is concerned. With an acknowledgement to anyone who helps, seems we may all collectively benefit from a collaboration/cooperation on the anomalies.

So much that has passed before and been documented by many forum members on the deviation versions of Breitling, it is a Monty he would jump at the chance to get your input.

Just a thought.

Mr. JC Guyon, the author appears to be open to updating his book. Reading a book on vintage Breitling models with a few errors can be disappointing. I realized this time around is that it was probably the multiple errors that broke my confidence but the book is not a total loss if you take it as Guyon says, "a book to help people to discover the brand." Either way, we will have to see what comes of this.

Nevertheless, Imaginary books that are perfect on a wealth of unknown historical tidbits are almost impossible to find. I do believe if the members here, like Roff, Fred, Rene, Jim and others, would do a great service to vintage collectors if there was a book out of the experience here. I would love to work on a book with you guys.
