An amazing part of history, and to think that you were a part of it, unbelievable. Thank you for sharing that part of history with us. Now, the important question.. What watch were you wearing at the time?

There are some really dedicated people putting up Apollo and Gemini mission video footage on YouTube these days. I have watched a bit of it lately. Brought back a lot of great memories. When my daughter and I watched the near-space jump last year and I watched her fascination it seemed like the years melted away

I completely understand, Scott. Same feeling when I show my granddaughter some of the "heirlooms" I've saved for her.

Matt, I still own the watch I was wearing back then. It was the first mechanical alarm watch ever built, the Seiko "Bellmatic". It has long since given up the ghost but I remember it fondly. Fifty $USD in Hong Kong in 1968....

Rene', I sometimes feel the same way when I look at some of this stuff... :-)

Joe, if you have the chance, check out the new IMAX 3D movie "Gravity". It's Hollywood of course but you enhance your level of admiration and respect for the crews of our spacecraft...

Best,
Ron

Wow, that was you? Mission control during Apollo 17?

Very cool.

Why am I not surprised to discover you were part of the Apollo era, Ron? An excellent man for great endeavours.
