I asked for more pics as well but never received any, hence my max bid of 7.8 and change. Would you mind sharing the ones you got ? , i would like to see if i can draw the same conclusions you did
Thanks
Best regards

Kurt and Dracha, why you think for sure that more than 100 were produced?

Because I asked them and they came back to me with production numbers

And their numbers coincide with my observations of pcs up for sale since 1998/1999 when i first started to watch the Breitling market , wanting to sell my colt and upgrade to a navitimer

Thank you for this information Rene. But why do you think, this producion numbers where only for the Navitimers, Breitling mixed the serial numbers of all models of production from 1954, not only Navitimers.

PS: I'm trying to find the emails of my friend in Switzerland, who was attended by the Breitling employees.

Thoroughly enjoyed this thread, exciting to see a piece like that come up. Personally I find this much more exciting that seeing Clapton's PP on ****** (which is still an exquisite watch of course). Congrats to whoever did buy it.

Because i specifically asked them about 54 55 navitimers with v72 movements and their production numbers of these pieces

I know that too, but probably were installed the remains of the Valjoux caliber 72 in 1968.

But tell us,how many were produced in 1954/55?

And if Breitling has actually prouktion numbers, then they also know defininitiv whether and how many Navitimer they produced in 1953. Why is there no official statement of Breitling?
