Some seriously seriously tough choices there:

- The CA Ratty vs. Cossie Lemania was nearly impossible for me as was the 769 Chronomat vs. the Navi Mecanique LE;
- I really like the Mark VI - beautiful watch.

Some great match ups and a great reminder of some super Breitling pieces.

Just a reminder that round 2 ends tomorrow. Still don't seem to be a lot of votes for some of the matchups - although clearly there is a campaign underway in support of the Emergency - came from nowhere to a 10 vote lead :wowzers

Well to be fair it's the original that was nominated - the world's most expensive dinner plate never made the top 64.

The voting on the Navitimer 1461 matchup against the Unitime AVI is a real surprise to me. The Navi 1461 came second last year, but it's being beaten by the ol' timer Unitime. I have a sneaking suspicion that Fred's awesome pictures have a bit to answer for there! :wink:

The Navi 01 juggernaut rolls on, obliterating anything in it's path! :lol: But the fact that the Navi and the TO models are still there says a lot about what we like though - modern interpretations of classic designs.

some impossible choices in this round really.

surprised (and very happy) the Chronomat 769 is doing so well, albeit against another watch I would like to see advance; this actually is the quintessential Breitling - all other "classic" Breitlings, including the Navitimer 806 (and Navi 01) and the latest Montbrillant are actually minor adaptations - a design life of more than 70 years; not bad at all.

and yes, the Unitime AVI is quity a decent piece ;)

Tbh Roff I nearly posted on Sunday that the imo the Unitime is a dark horse here. I'm not that big into movements etc but more so the 'look'. Fred's pictures have definently swung me......beautiful watch!

First post updated with the quarter final matchups, polls will be live within 1/2 hour or so - edit, now live.

Winners of these matchups will be the four Breitling representatives in the general competition that will follow this one.

Ooooooo, there's one truly HORRIBLE match-up in the quarter finals!

The TOC 01 vs the Navi 01. What a choice to make!

Bizarre there are two 1461's against each other two. (Easy choice for me there though mind!)

Yeah it almost came up with the 'paired' matchups this time. If the two vintage pieces had been matched up as well it would have been perfect (or a nightmare depending on your perspective).

The TOC 01 vs Navi 01 is "Sophie's Choice" for me :-(

Only a day to go on the 1/4 finals and only a little over half of the votes that were cast in this round last year - very surprising (and not a little disappointing).
