I was on holiday (Majorca I think) when I was late twenties, The resort had an AD and I walked past his window with my tongue on the floor every night.

My first experience with Breitling was at the Foxwoods Watch Co, where I tried a few on years back. It wasn't until last year that I started buying them uncontrollably;)

I know it's not everyone's cup of tea but it was the Airwolf Raven, loved the fact it was a normal watch and digital. Took me several years to purchase one, but its the watch which started my collection

1997 or 1998, I was on a cruise with my extended family and the ship stopped in Aruba. My mom wanted to visit the Little Switzerland store because she needed a battery for her Movado, and i decided to follow along because I had an interest in Tag Heuer watches and knew LS carried the line. I happened to wander over to the Breitling display where they have a bunch of the (at the time) new Crosswinds on display, specifically the two-tone/blue face with two tone pilot bracelet. Game, set, match....if only I'd had 3 grand at the time :(

It was 7 years before I managed to save up enough scratch to purchase a Crosswind Special LE two-tone, white face. Nine additional Breitlings (and two in the hopper) later, well, it's been a costly but quite enjoyable 10 years.

Well, I needed a new watch and went shopping when I saw this "Breitling Navitimer Ref# 1806" what I not heard of before. I asked the sales person if he could explain to me what that watch can do with all those gadgets and I was very impressed and I bought it. I'm now a retired Airline Pilot and after 42 years, she never missed a beat and as accurate as the first day. In my opinion, the best watch I ever owned.

Bought late 2007.

It was this Colt auto that I still have. Liked it in the store and fell in love as the day passed. Still take it out and wear it and fall for it all over again.
Have since added a few more but still enjoy this old Colt very much.

For me it was the link to aviation. I'm an Air Force brat, so I grew up around US Air Force bases. I remember seeing the pilots in the exchange wearing Breitlings and I knew I had to have one. I was 12 years old--about the same time my lifelong love of aviation stated. I was taking lessons in Piper Pa-28s at the base aero club and always saw Breitling ads in the various aviation magazines lying around the pilots' lounge. It only took me 27 years to actually buy my first one--an Avenger chronograph. I just wish it looked half as good on me as it did on those guys in the Flying ads. Lol
