Difficult one for me.... and I'm not voting as a result!

Personally (and I apologise in advance here!), I really don't like the Rolex DJ - it always strikes me as a bit of an old man's watch, so I'd definitely look to shift that.

However, Sharky's and Sergio's experience with the YC would put me off that even though on the face of it it looks like a nice piece. I've never handled one so can't comment further.

The Portuguese, while being a true classic and a beautiful, is a little too dressy for me to ever consider, so that leaves the BP....

Now, if I hadn't actually OWNED a BP myself, it'd be my instant choice as I think it's a beautiful watch in both the 5002 and 5004 guise. The 5002 Transitional is the one to get IMO as you get the nicer look of the 5002 with the faster beating movement of the 5004. That said, it's common knowlegde here that I had a ton of trouble with my BP's movement, and also with IWC in terms of resolving it (which they never did incidentally), so I can't recommend that one either!

So the upshot is, I can't personally recommend any course of action here, so I abstain!

(Bit of a pointless post by me then! )

I aim to please!

Here's an idea - sell the DJ and buy another Navi World if you still miss it.

Or better still (and this is GENUINELY what I would do if you like the World), is sell the DJ and buy the current Navitimer 1461. The same size as a Navi World, but with the awesome 1461 movement. I'd be cheaper than a BP and might actually keep decent time! :)

Not a bad idea. Is that an in-house movement?

Also, I can't believe all this talk about the $hity BP /YC movements... for what you pay for, I would expect to receive something flawless both inside and out.

A PAM Radiomir may be worth looking into as well. I love the 10 day, but can swing to price tag as of right now.

There's an LE of the Navi 1461 that came with a black dial.

The first YC I owned, the movement sounded like a mechanics ratchet wrench. The second YC I owned (the titanium Volvo race edition) was whisper quiet. The YC does struggle with an identity but I must say the titanium edition was spectacular except for the carbon fiber dial which made me dizzy.

The 5001 7day is awesome, I'd go for that one!!

Yea I am pretty stuck on the 5001, with a 70/30 on the black dial with black strap combo. The only thing that would deter me is if it wears small, but I hope this is not th case. I'll be going to visit George this week, hopefully he won't have a BP there to really mess with me! Haha

The 5001 wears large in white. Only 42mm but it's all dial.
