I was wondering where most of you keep your watches when not wearing then at home. I don't know whether to keep it in its case or in my watch box with the other watches. :)

At the moment, my watches live in a drawer above my sock drawer.
:)
I don't like to put them straight onto the base of the drawer so they're all sitting on something fairly soft - a buffing cloth, a cleaning kit, my passport...

As soon as I buy a watch box (watching a couple on ebay at the moment) they're all going in there.

Right now I have two main watches in the rotation. I keep them in their original boxes in a closet in my master bathroom. I will soon be adding my new SA into the rotation and have been giving some thought into getting a decent watch winder to store them and keep them wound. I would like to find a nice set up to put right on the counter top in my master bath to help display the watches and make it easy to decide which one I am going to wear.

Right now they are in a Wolf watch box... once one or two more Lings are added to the collection, a winder will be added to the shelf on the safe ;)

I dont have a winder, and I have a half dozen auto watches, they are sitting in a very old cedar cigar box, and my new baby is in her pretty shiny box.

Mine sits in two watch boxes and a few winders. I prefer them all in one place - keeping them in their original cases would be to crowded for the safe and also a bit too confusing, trying to find the watch I want when many have the same case...

When my ling was sent home after a battery replacement it arrived in a Breitling travel case(like a sunglass case with foam inside that the watch wraps around). I keep it warm in this overnight & when I'm traveling. Quite compact too.

My Breitling super avenger sits in a high quailty black winder on my end table next to my side of the bed. My other Breitlings and other watches are in a couple two head winders and watch box. They are on top of my dresser that is in my closet.

I keep my Navi in the travel case as supplied, then lock it in the SAFE :!: which is concealed and bolted to the wall. You can't keep it in the sock draw that's the first place a burglar would look :!:

Mine are stored beside the bed for easy retrieval.

Not worried about security - I live in the middle of nowhere so no burglar is going to be able to approach very easily and I suspect that if the noise of six Alaskan Malamutes responding to a stranger / unusual noise doesn't work their teeth probably would.

The black dialed (daily worn) Steelfish is taken off and laid on a clean hand towel on the master bath vanity... at the end of the day. (along with everything I normally wear or have in my pockets when I leave the house).

The Evolution is on a Wolf winder.

The silver dialed Steelfish is stored in its own box next to the winder. I need a larger winder. I am really tired of resetting the silver Steelfish everytime I want to wear it and I am too forgetfull to wind it every other day.

My wife does the same thing on her side of the vanity for her Starliner.

I warned you, Driver, about those criminal impulses of yours.
When are you going to get professional help? If you don't care
about your own reputation, think about your family, your
friends... Don't you care how your life of crime will effect them?
Be strong, old fellow, fight those impulses; triumph over that
little devil sitting on your shoulder.

I guess im the only one who uses the box :)

I just have the bottom of the outer box, with the bakelite inside of it, sitting (always open) on my dresser. I just set it inside of the box. Its kind of big and annoying, so maybe ill try some of these other methods.
