Hi all,

HAPPY THURSDAY!

So I am attempting to sell my lovely SA/white stick dial, on eBay  . I purchased it from a AD (in person) and have all of the paperwork/boxes/etc. I posted a ton of detailed pictures on eBay and have a ton of offers. This morning I received an inquiry stating "I am very interested in your watch but the serial number on the watch and the paperwork do not match.." After a mild heart attack and closer review- the eBayer was correct. The SN on the actual watch and the "Montres#" do not match. The SN on the watch and the SKU/model#/SN sticker that was on the watch DOES match the SN on the watch, but they don't match the "Attestation De Chronometre" or the warranty booklet... Again, I am the sole owner and I bought this in person from an AD so I am almost positive that it is authentic...and have everything that it came with... What should I do? I am going to contact the AD as soon as they open (they are in Santa Monica- PST)... Should I reach out to Breiltling?

Thanks in advance!!!

Plainly that's the first thing to do - get onto that AD (and since they're an AD you're 'reaching out to Breitling' by doing so). Let's hope they'll accept that they issued the wrong ones. How recent a purchase was it?

Just to make sure that we are talking about the same numbers.....

COSC top right and warranty book printed / written numbers should match the watch - other numbers (like the perforated numbers in the book) will be different. If they don't match then it sounds as though the AD gave you the wrong paperwork for the watch. Hopefully they still have the right papers or can reach the owner of the watch whose papers you have, because Breitling won't issue a replacement warranty (although the COSC can be reissued).

Thanks TomP... Let's hope so... I purchased it Ap, 2011... (which is properly reflected in the Warranty booklet)

Then the warranty is irrelevant because it has expired. I understand that a full set of papers is nice, but it makes no practical difference at this point.

Hi Roff,

Thanks for the reply. The COCS top right and the warranty book printed match, but they do not match the watch... The sticker that comes on the watch (which I still have) with the model #, SKU, and SN does match the engraving on the watch...

Breitling can reissue the COSC and your AD should be able to help if they don't have the correct one at the store.
