Hello to All!

I'm Heuer collector, but this old watch unexpected came in to my hands:

Is this the Breitling? It has a dial in very good shape and uncompleted Venus 175 movement.
How difficult it might be to buy a missing parts to Venus 175?
Case is chrome. Was Breitling making a chrome case?
I think the watch it is from 30' / 40' - am I right?

Thanks :)

Not Breitling - you can see the removal of the real name from the inside of the caseback and as you note the dial is in very good (read too good given the rest of the watch) condition.

Yes, whenever you see that someone has deliberately removed in this case a manufacturer name, you can pretty much bet the rest is faulty too.

Yes, I saw the ramoval point on the caseback. However hands looks like Breitling hands.

What with case? The watch case have characteristic groove (step) in the area of glass - did Breitling has something like this?

I just have decoded the the removed mark and it says: PARKER WATCH, so I think that from Breitling are only the dial and hands...

There are lots of early Breitling dials and movements out there that were removed from solid gold cases at some time. Rather than throw them out they often get recycled into different cases. It's a good source for early original dials and hands if needed but you have to be able to tell what's Breitling and what isn't.
