Hi Guys.

I've been looking for a Chronomatic, however, as I understand it they're discontinued, so my best chance is the second hand market. Being an expensive watch I'm a little worried about eBay and the likes, so wondered if anyone had some useful advice for buying second hand watches?

Thank you.

eBay is still the biggest market, just check in the replica section here before committing. You can also try all of the forums, including posting a WTB, and Chrono24.

It would help if you gave your location - I could give you a couple of recommendations for s/h in the UK, for example, but that might not be any use.

Ah, well Watchfinder is well known -

http://www.watchfinder.co.uk/

- not cheap, but you know they're genuine and they'll listen to offers.

Blowers have a very good reputation, with good stock and pics:

http://www.blowers-jewellers.co.uk/

They're the two obvious online s/h dealers.

As well as eBay there's also of course Chrono24:

http://www.chrono24.com/

- which you can filter to exclude non-UK items.

And although they're ADs specialising in new, it's always worth dropping a line to the two excellent UK-based forum sponsors:

&
http://www.bankslyon.co.uk/

Ricardo from AMJ and Aziza from Banks Lyon both post on here; I've dealt with both; and both are simply superb.
