Funny thing is the pictures he has on there are only ones when one of the hands is over the issue with the 40 in the subdial you spotted. There are no clear pictures of that particular subdial. Glad you got it resolved the way it did. Hopefully the next buyer asks for more photos and notices it.

Having recently purchased my navitimer 01, I can empathise with you. Whilst my issues are no where near as bad as yours it does sour the deal somewhat.

My navi turned up in a ultrasonic cleaning outer box, with its bracelet on the wrong way round so it was impossible to put the watch on as the clasp was pointing away from you. Also multiple marks that were not disclosed around lugs and spring bars and screws on bracelet from presumably a bad effort removing and refitting.

My only saving grace was that the price was cheap enough, but sadly it does raise questions about the history of the watch, and how can someone not realise the bracelet was the wrong way round - it must have never been worn after it being refitted. Did they ruin it in their minds enough to just sell it on? What else may be wrong with it etc?

I've contemplated sending it to breitling but I am going to enjoy it a bit before I do that! And it means if I nick it then it's a drop in the ocean compared to what it already has!
