Just saw one of these in an AD, whilst it's a nice watch in itself, I actually prefer the old version. Mainly because I prefer the sunken dial and the crown on the new one appears to have shrunk as well.

One thing I do prefer over the old one though, is that the case is fully polished.

Polished case? Are you sure it was a Seawolf? That ought to be brushed...

Yeah that's what I thought as well, but there was definitely no mistaking the 3000m on the dial.

Would the numerals on the bezel make it difficult to use as a dive watch?

Well the absence of some of the minute markers certainly wouldn't help - but heck, at least this one has a bezel pearl which is more than you can say for some of Breitling's 'dive' watches.

Hi guys,

Finally I got my hands on my brand new Breitling Avenger Seawolf II. I bought from the Saint Thomas Breitling Boutique trough the local Little Switzerland in Ritz Carlton Puerto Rico. They are the only ones in the Caribbean who had it. Bought it back on June 15 2013 and got it on August 3 2013. I had to wait exactly 7 weeks. The boutique couldn't ship it right away because they had a presentation on July 19 in Saint Thomas where they were going to showcase my watch, then another presentation in Bahamas on July 26.

During my purchase I also bought the rubber bracelet with the nice buckle. Because of the long 7 weeks wait and the exhibition they had with my watch, the manager gave me free of charge the leather strap.

These people were great with me. Nice to deal with.

Here are the pictures I took with my iphone of this amazing watch. I'm in love with it. :)

I have never done a watch review, but I hope to be the first one soon to post one on YouTube. I haven't seen one yet on the Seawolf II. :)

Congratulations on a fabulous watch :lingsrock:

One week ago I bought myself the "old" Seawolf with black dial and I'm extremely happy about it :lovesloves:

Are you able to tell me the weight of your new Seawolf?

Thank you!

/ Rasmus

That is really a beautiful Seawolf! Thanks for sharing the experience and those amazing pics with us. The pics really show the beauty of the watch, and give a far better idea of what it really looks like than the website. That matt dial really suits the watch, and I love the stencil type arabics in silver as well.
Perfect size for your wrist, it suits you very well.
I have to say that is probably now my favourite Breitling, although I have not seen one in person.
Congratulations!

Cheers,
Carl

Thank you!

I don't have a digital scale, so I used my wife's weight watcher scale, LOL, and it weighted 220 grams = 7.7602 oz = 0.485017 pound

I will try to weight it with my buddies digital scale.

Thanks!! I bought it without even seeing it in person. I just saw it on Breitling's website, which doesn't justify the beauty of the watch. In person it perfect!

Thanks again to all!

As soon as I can weight the watch on a digital scale, i will advise!

To me looking at the photos, the new silver numerals make it far less readable than the old version. I do like the seconds hand though.

That's what I liked about it. In the pictures on Breitling's website the numbers are so visible, that I thought it was going to look crowded. Too much in the dial. But in reality depending on the light and glare, the numbers can be seen easily or less visible. It gives a subtle touch.

Congratulations, my favourite :lingsrock: (I have two: silver and blue dials).

I like the new curved case ends as they extend the length and elegance of the lugs / shoulders, but I still prefer the older-version's crown guard.

(Apologies for making a first post without introducing myself elsewhere, I'll go back and do that)

Does the seawolf 2 have longer lugs or longer lug to lug length measurement than the ss seawolf 1? The old ss version although large fitted my smallish wrists really well as the lugs curve down really sharply.

Does the seawolf 2 do this too? I don't want gaps between wrist and lugs that can happen on watches with a long lug to lug size. Does anyone own a seawolf 1 and 2 yet who can show comparison pics? Have finally saved enough for a seawolf but this new version has confused as to which to buy!

Thanks in advance, am looking forward to joining in as I've enjoyed being an unofficial reader of this site for the last 6 months or so.
