Tomorrow I should be placing an order for the Avenger II Seawolf. It's going to be my first Breitling :)

Nice, the Seawolf manages a rare combination of a great looking watch and a capable diving tool. You can brag about its 3000m depth resistance.
Which colour are you getting? Have you tried it on first?

I like that the bezel and dial fonts match. One of the annoying thing about latter day Breitling designs is that they seem to let 38 different people pick a font for the watch. Not this one. I like it.

Couldn't agree more!

Hi VicLeChic,

I placed the order today with Little Switzerland in Puerto Rico.
I tried on my hand the Avenger Seawolf old model which they have in stock in Puerto Rico. The new model Avenger II Seawolf they only have one watch in the boutique at Saint Thomas, and its mine already. :-) I have seen it only in pictures.

I paid for it today but it can not be shipped to me yet, because it will be in a Fashion Bazaar showcase for Breitlings boutique in Saint Thomas, and because its the only one they have, they will show it there.. As soon as the exhibition is done, they will ship it to PR, and I will post pictures in my hand :)

I bought it just like this one:

Volcano black with index, NO numbers, and the SS Pro II bracelet.

Has the new Pro3 bracelet too which comes with case curved end links. Will change then entire look of it with a strap. It will have the gap we are seeing on many new models between the case and strap.

Old is Gold when it comes to Breitling IMO ... They seem to be driving getting weirder in their font selection by the year ... From discontinuing the BlackBird to banishing the Skyracer, fattening the Emergency II and
changing the fonts on the Seawolf ... The traditional Stencil dial is just plain cool .. I recently picked a Seawolf Code Yellow and would hope to pick the old School Skyland before they all disappear.

I too have one, and seen a few posted lately, but since it was released it seems there's just no love for it, at least going by how many I see. This watch has grown on me a ton and can't see myself ever parting with it. Even being very hungover on my way home Sunday morning I still had to take time to look and think to myself how sharp it looked... then the thoughts went back to wanting to go to sleep for the day! :D

Avenger range is at the value end of Breitling pricing. If they had put an in house movement in it then pricing would have been through the roof. Additionally, despite claiming since launch that the in house chrono could be in a 3 / 6 / 9 or 6 / 9 / 12 combo Breitling haven't yet released a 6 / 9 / 12 variant which makes me wonder whether there are issues with that. For non chromos they have publicly stated that they cannot yet serially produce their in house 3 hand at an economically viable cost.

Fantastic looking piece, great choice. I would have gone for this one myself if I didn't own two black divers already.

Just saw one of these in an AD, whilst it's a nice watch in itself, I actually prefer the old version. Mainly because I prefer the sunken dial and the crown on the new one appears to have shrunk as well.

One thing I do prefer over the old one though, is that the case is fully polished.

Polished case? Are you sure it was a Seawolf? That ought to be brushed...
