clearly answered in my post above, San.

I have not commented on anything besides these "Franken" claims and disclaims, as we have not seen anything but dial and hands - no case, pushers, crown, caseback or movement, so I am not prepared to comment on the watch, but the combination of this dial and hands is correct and replacing these would not in any way make it a Frankenwatch.

Point taken Fred! Looking forward to see the rest of the watch pics.

IMO all looks good, it's from 1971 ,strap Breitling, only thing; pushers look rather short and not original...any ideas?

Yes, my idea is that you post bigger , better and 'in focus' pics

From the original photo posted, I would call it a restored piece with a couple of deficiencies. The dial appears to be reprinted with a small sub-register dial format onto the original large sub-register dial. The hands appear to be longer that the originals. From the later images, I do think the pushers are mounted too short, though I don't know how that can happen. Makes me wonder about the movement.

Are you trying to convince yourself or convince us ?

As Bill wrote, quite a bit looks off here, all the hands seem replacements, subdials hands do not fit the subdial size, dial has been refinished from the wrong (small subdials) plates, pushers wrong/odd.
we did not see the movement yet.

If you like the watch as it is, wear it and enjoy it - it still is a presentable piece.
Just please do not claim "all looks good" ?

Thanks for comments when I say IMO I genuinely mean my opinion, as in good looking..

I don't know anything about Breitling watches... I am not posting pics here trying to convince experts that it's 100% original..Why should I?...reason I am posting this is to find out more about the watch I bought and NOT trying to sell)and learn ...so all this is good to know and I am not quite understanding some of the comments, anyway...

Went to the watchmaker, opened the case and it's got a nice smooth running Breitling signed Valjoux 7736 movement in it; according to him it's an original Breitling service dail, hands have been replaced ( even I can see that ) ...

The pushers have been replaced by these shorter ones, it's a very tight good fit..

He says it might be tricky to replace them with originals as there had to be a reason in the first place why the originals where removed and maybe the case has been adjusted to accommodate these and there is no guarantee originals will still fit, that's all for now...

Update; AFTER ALL THAT...watch has been returned to previous owner, so all sorted for me now and will be looking for another NAVITIMER
