All -

A repeat topic for sure - but is it correct that BUSA will not service a grey market watch that has had the serial #'s removed?

Yes.

But if serials are intact you will be OK.

So if I buy a watch from the Internet with all in tact and papers the warrentee will be honored? Why do these Internet offer their own warrentee programs?

No, you get no Breitling warranty grey market, you get service (at your cost) if serials are intact.

Breitling will service a grey market watch, but you will have to pay for it. It will not be covered under warenty.

If the booklet is duly stamped and dated and the serial number on the watch is also on booklet and Cosc certificate, then, how can you or Breitling tell the watch is from grey market, and not purchased at an AD?

If you bought it grey market you won't get a warranty book. It's withheld to try and protect the originating AD.

I did buy from an online retailer, unworn condition, with warranty booklet stamped, signed and dated by an AD in the US. How do we call that? White market???

Same here! Grey, incl. Box, papers, cosc, warranty booklet; stamped, signed and dated by an AD in NL. I Have a receipt on my own name, warranty booklet and receipt have matching date and serial.

How can Breitling tell it's bought grey market? I guess they can't..

Yes, they'll honor it. They have no way of knowing you bought it grey market IF you have the warranty booklet that was stamped by an AD.

I said this on the other thread (let's please try and avoid having the same discussion across so many threads), but this sounds very dodgy to me, and the additional information here that it is a US retailer makes it even more suspicious. A tiny fraction of grey market watches come with a warranty, and a tiny fraction of grey market watches are originally sourced from US ADs.
