I know this topic has been covered several times already, but I used the search function and couldn't find anything that addresses my specific situation. I was doing a fitness test at work today and used the chronograph on my Evo to time my run. After the run we did a swim test. I forgot to stop the chronograph and left the pusher unscrewed. Now, I know your not supposed to activate the chronograph under water, but is there any risk in submerging the watch under water if the chronograph has ALREADY been activated prior? Thanks.

I thought that the water resistance now included instances where a screw in was open. Is there any damage, fogging of the watch glass, etc, that you can see? Fogging will only occur if the watch is slightly warm, so you won't notice unless its on your wrist for a while.

I wouldnt think so, just so long as you didnt push the button under water. In that instance I think it should remain water resistant with normal swimming.

Now if you actually tried to time something underwter, even swimming owr washing your hands... your screwed.

The screw down pushers offer zero additional water resistance. Their only purpose is to prevent accidental activation of the pushers which would cause problems. As long as the pushers aren't used underwater then it's fine, whether the chrono was running or not is irrelevant.

Nope, no fogging. And NOOO, I would never use the pushers under water. Just overly panicked and was looking for peace of mind. Thanks all!
