Just when the collection seemed settled for a while, unexpected additional college expenses came up, and while I can dip into the planned college funds, I can't in good conscience while wearing a $10,000 watch.

So, (deep breath), for sale or trade is my present pride and joy, my AP Royal Oak. This is not the more common 15300 or the new 41mm 15400, but model 15202, the piece designed to be closest to the original Royal Oak. It is thinner and uses the JLC-sourced movement commissioned and used by AP, VC, and Patek in the original Nautilus. They are relatively rare, I don't think the numbers are published, but my understanding is that for example in 2010, 10 of them were made. My understanding is that this one dates to the mid-late 2000s. My longtime watch guy bought it from someone who had purchased the piece as a certified pre-owned from Tourneau in 2010. I bought it in March. I just had the amplitude tested and it is running strong. Pics show the condition, but I would say excellent, TZ over 90. I have the box but no papers. The bracelet fits loosely on my 7 3/4 inch wrist and I have an extra link. Below are pics posted here before, I'll probably post new pics later. A new one lists for $22,000. I'm asking $10,500 for the watch, though in this case I will also consider a trade. I want to get $5000-$7000 in cash out of the deal in a trade. I wasn't planning on doing this, so I (and I may regret this) don't have a specific trade piece in mind. Generally, though, Breitling, Rolex, IWC, maybe Omega are options.

I think I'm known around here on BS but can provide references if needed. If I don't know you, I'll need some from you. U.S.A. deals only, Wire transfer only on this one. Any questions, let me know.

It's better to loved and lost... I think it's pretty awesome you got to own this watch. It's a beauty, and whoever buys it is extremely lucky. GLWS

Hey Scott.

Sweet watch at a sweet price.

Wish you were this side of the pond!

Either way good luck with the sale.
