I was at the office getting ready to leave... Stretched my arms and saw a little something drop onto my chair. Looked down and saw that that it was a screw from my watch bracelet. For whatever reason, my arm was still raised in the air the entire time (weird, I know). I look at my wrist and the watch is sitting on top of my wrist, completely unsecured.

If that had been 2 minutes later in the parking lot it could have been a very expensive day for me.

So just a reminder: Check those screwed links.

Im heading home to check them all and maybe throw a little blue Loctite on them.

Glad to hear you caught it before it took a spill...that could ruin even a day at Disneyland. I use Blue Loctite on mine (both bezel and bracelet) and while I think it may be a little overkill, it gives my paranoid self peace of mind!!! IMO the unique flexibility of the Pro 2 and Pilot make them a little more susceptible to a screw backing out versus non-single free-floating bracelets without this degree of contour/flex (but I'm not complaining given how much of a comfort advantage their design brings!).

Glad she didn't take a tumble! Thanks for the reminder about the screws. I'm going to check mine right now while I'm thinking about it.

So the urban legends are true... Never would I thought it can happen. But then again my watches are in a rotation so that might play a role.

I was on the freeway at 80mph with my moments new green bezel SOHC LE on Ocean Racer, left arm out the window so the sun could glimmer off my new watch - first released to a US customer. Feeling rather special and charmed. While staring at the watch, I saw an odd glimmer, then realized it was the end of a springbar in the clasp end of the deploy. I moved my arm in the car and just as it got over my lap the watch fell into my lap. Talk about adrenaline!
