Love these threads. Top Times forever!!

There were so many variations of these that anything is possible as far as color so the best idea is to go off of the shape as Roff states.

One cool note, the Top Time used in the Bond film Thunderball had a red painted hand on the ref 2002. I believe the story goes that it was painted and not original.

although I am the first to understand the passion for Breitling Top Times - this forum is widely used as a reference resource for Breitling collectors, so let us please remain a bit closer to reality.

Repeating speculations, myths and adding a bit of wishful thinking is the last we need in the already rather murky waters we Breitling collectors have to swim in - please excuse these open words, it is great to have you on board as a fellow Breitling enthusiast, but claims should ideally be based on a bit of research and, if possible, proof ?

The "Thunderball Bond Breitling" was a custom case, without visible pushers or crown, but with a dial resembling the Top Time 2002, most definitely no "red painted hand".

Here are the Thunderball screen grabs for the Bond Breitling:

and the ref. 2002 that inspired it:

You are correct. I have lost myself for a moment. The hand was paint white, not red. I have actually researched the Thunderball Geiger Counter in very close detail for some time now. Again, I had a momentary lapse in my details.

I am actually in the (very long process) of recreating the Geiger Counter case for the Top Time 2002. I guess I will spare everyone the details and reasons for them as they can only be speculation and never 100% validated. Not trying to muddy the waters any more then I have.

Cheers!

So you know, the idea behind the project is to create an "over-case" that will house the original TT inside of it. The end user will not have to take his/her Top Time apart but merely wind it, place in inside the case, secure the back and pretend to me Bond for the day.
