Hello,

I am new on this forum. Please be indulgent if my question is not appropriate.

I have got a Pluton 80191 (Breitling (without 1884) - Navitimer quartz 3100). I like this watch and try to take great care of it. Unfortunately I miss one push button cap (the left one). Pushing the tiny screw still works. I am desperately trying to find a replacement push button or cap, so far without success ( I live in France ).
The only item I could find is a complete push button which seems to be very close but is for the Navitimer ref A13020 or D13020. I wonder if this part could fit with my watch (either by replacing the push button entirely or using only the cap -provided it's not too difficult to do it or have it done by a retailer). Could somebody help me know?

Any other solution?
Thanks.
Best regards

Highly doubt that it will fit, but have you tried Breitling directly, it's an old piece but they may have pushers still available.

Hi Roff,

Thank you for your quick answer.
I did not try to ask Breitling, because I have seen so many posts reporting that Breitling do not want to support these old models but instead would prefer to offer some discount for a new one. And it seems they take back the old model in case the deal is accepted. Sad! plenty of spare pieces with no use!

Apparently they have not understood that Breitling vintage watches owners are really attached to their old "coucou" ( familiar name for watch/clock in Geneva, where I work).

Here is the link where to find the push button i mentionned.
Image
The item is called : Breitling Drücker Stahl 160.407 für Ref. Nr.: A13020 / D13022.
I cannot get an answer from the supplier on whether the item is compatible or not with the Pluton.

Thanks again

hope Paul (member vintage) will chime in, he might know what the exact cap dimension is. I do have quite a lot of pushers and pusher caps, but would need the correct dimensions.

Hello Watchfred,

Thanks for your help. As to the cap diameter (and length), no problem. I just need to find back my micrometer and measure one of the two located at the right side. Hopefully I will do it tomorrow (provided I find back the tool). I could also show a macrophoto of the part with the missing cap. I need to learn how to add a picture inside a post.
The site where one can see the Navitimer pusher is https://www.chrono24.fr/breitling/couro ... 070448.htm

Thanks again and regards

Hi All,

(continued : missing cap for Pluton)

The diameter of the cylindrical cap is 3.8 mm.
I have attached a picture where you can see both the pusher body without cap and the 2 caps on the other side.
Hope somebody can help.
My initial question was : does a Navitimer ref A13020 or D13020 push button fit?
Any other suggestion would help. Of course if somebody would have a spare part to send, I would happily pay the part and the shipping.

By the way, in order to shrink the image to the accepted pixel size, I just use paint SW with the Image/Strech menu (with strech < 100% on both axes). I don't need the specific tool mentionned in the post: viewtopic.php?f=5&t=453

Thanks to all.
Best regards

Hi All,

(continued : missing cap for Pluton)

Following a suggestion from Roff, I have double checked with Breitling official maintenane service:
- Pluton no longer serviced,
- yes there is still a procedure consisting in exchanging "old" Pluton models" against a new Breitling sold at a discount price.
But even with this practice in place, Breitling is not willing to give or sell parts
-even just a cap, known as delicate/defective in the case of the Pluton,
- even if conditionned by a no guarantee notice,
to the ones who love their old watch (I inherited mine from a very close relation). Frustrating, is not it!

I am left with my issue and with my hope that one member of this forum could have an brilliant idea.
Maybe this cap is common to other brands.

Best regards

I have the same Issue, did you fix yours?
I also found this website where you can buy pusher buttons, any thoughts?
