Count the hands - it doesn't have enough to be a World!

thanks roff, have not done a lot of research on the navitimer line yet, I see that now that you said that about the hands.

Nice Fred... Either this or an 808 is my next vintage piece.

After I recover from my Co-Pilot purchase. :D

thanks all for the nice comments, friends.

today another Chronomat, 21 years later than the 769, from 1967. one of the first "big case" models, big even for today w/ 47mm.

another dirty, cracked vintage piece that "people can't stand" as I have learned in the "Greatest Breitling" thread ?
(what was it Driver8 ? "*ahem* patina", "darkened lume", "scratch-happy plexiglass crystals", "uncrisp edges" ....)

Doing some tryout today, I'm on the verge of taking the plunge on this... But I decided to be reasonable about it and to sit it out for a couple of month... If I still feel the itch in January... Well, that'll be the one.

Well, that is if you discount how good a condition this watch is in... Looks like new really... At least on the pictures.

As for the point your trying to make... I'm fine with wear on most watches. So long as it is "my" wear, it tells the story I went through with the thing and if anything, that makes the watch more precious. The only watch I'm a bit peculiar with is my Navi... That has enough story behind it already.

Anyhow, great timepiece you have there, really like it!
