Hello all,

I just received my first Breitling as a wedding present from my new wife a few weeks ago - a galactic 41. My question is in regards to the date setting. Will the date move forward to adjust for months that have 30 vs 31 days or will I need to manually change that? I ask because when setting the watch I did not have to adjust for what month or year (for leap year) as I had done previously with a citizen eco drive. Any advice would be appreciated.

It will assume that every month has 31 days and you will have to adjust manually for others.

Make sure that you read the manual, particularly where it tells you when not to use the quick set date - between 8pm and 3am.

Welcome to BreitlingSource.

Yes, you'll need to manually adjust for months with less than 31 days.

Edit: looks like Roff beat me to it. Figures.

Perpetual calendars are nice, but I view them as an unnecessary complication unless someone is a frequent traveler and depends on his/her watch to be accurate at all times (and perhaps doesn't want to be bothered with resetting the date or doesn't have the time to remember to set the date correctly). Just me, though.
